Where has Gabrielle Faust been?

The simple answer? Working. Working, working and then working some more. It's a glamorous life I've been leading lately. Just kidding. I'm basically a hermit cat lady with pandemic debt to pay off these days. But a hermit cat lady with big goals for 2023. Hence the work work work...

On the publishing front... I finished the first book the HAUNTED series a couple of months ago. Not sure if I told yall about that? Lucienne, my agent has been working on negotiations with the publisher since then. I literally can't tell you who the publisher is or when the book might be released. All I can do is tease you with the idea that it's "big news" and when it does happen it's going to be incredible. And that it's eating me alive inside knowing I can't tell you any more than that.

In the meantime... I've started work on HAUNTED 2 and it's coming along nice and spookily. Again, once I have the green light to say stuff... you know that I will. For now, THE CADAVER DOGS series got put on the back burner so I can focus on HAUNTED 2. I'll revisit that after the second HAUNTED book is delivered to the publisher.

What else is going on... I've decided not to attend this year's StokerCon in Pittsburgh, even though I designed the logo and website, again, this year. The plane tickets to Pittsburgh from Austin are ridiculous for a good seat. And my ass is too old for that Spirit nonsense. And, now that Taylor Swift has announced she's performing in the same city the SAME weekend as our convention...well, you can imagine what it costs to get there now. So, I'll be working up the nerve to get on "camera" and record a message that will be played there that week/weekend. One of these years I'm going to get back to that damn convention... One of these days....

I think that's about it for the time being. I'm going to work on getting back into blogging and making this a regular habit. Thanks for remembering me! LOL!
