“Ex-DOMINATRIX: A true story” was conceived, partly filmed, edited, directed and produced by Darren Cavanagh over the course of the last 5 years. Darren became a close friend of Ira’s the subject of this film in 2008. Since then they have collaborated on various photographic projects and it was Darren’s idea and desire to make a truthful and entertaining full length documentary about her outrageous adventures after being inspired by the many stories she told him about her eventful life. In the year when “Fifty Shades of Grey” is sexing up cinemas all over the world, the real story behind the bondage phenomenon is revealed in a new feature-length documentary entitled, “Ex-DOMINATRIX: A true story” due for release in late 2015.
It exposes the extraordinary true-life story of Ira, a woman of many talents who was one of Europe’s most extreme Dominatrixes as well as an artist, model, international performer, mother and yoga instructor. You name it and she’s been there, seen and done it in 8 inch heels. In 2010, Ira’s life was suddenly shattered by the death of a high profile client during one of her Dominatrix sessions. The scandal made hot tabloid news worldwide and she was branded ‘Europe’s most perverted Dominatrix’.
For the first time ever, Ira reveals what truly happened on that fateful day, and how this event would end her days as a dominatrix and transform her destiny in ways she could never have imagined. She is the narrator of her own story and the film takes you on an unexpected journey with her throughout Europe to Goa, India, where she currently lives. Prepare to be shocked and surprised by Ira’s many secret stories, infectious humour, domination adventures and intimate true-life story.

Darren Cavanagh – Director, Producer
British born director, producer, scriptwriter, editor and photographer Darren Cavanagh has worked in mainstream film marketing and advertising for 20 years as a creative director on over 2500 major international campaigns for a wide variety of releases including, “Kill Bill I & II, ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘Senna”. “Ex-DOMINATRIX: A true story” is his first full-length documentary for commercial release. Darren has worked with some high profile directors and actors in the film industry including Quentin Tarantino, Matt Damon, Daniel Day Lewis, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
Noko – Score Composer
A founder member of Apollo 440, needs no introduction in the world of syncs having recorded the theme tunes to feature films Lost in Space, Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle. As a member of Apollo, he has released 5 albums and has written music for a raft of trailers, TV shows, promos, adverts and other media including games from the Resident Evil and Gran Turismo series. More recently Noko composed the orchestral scores for director Eric Vellette’s feature movies “Une Affaire d’Etat” (State Affairs) and “La Proie” (The Prey).
