And it's the truth. I looked at the calendar today and realized it's been waaaaaaaayyyyy too long since I last posted on my blog. What's wrong with me? I used to be so on top of this. LOL! But I'm still here. Just super busy.
Which is a good thing. I've picked up a new copywriting gig that's keeping me well engaged. Still working on Ice Pick's Pies, though this whole coronavirus pandemic thing has relatively brought that to a halt at the moment. The recent cancellations of major events like SXSW has really effected a lot of local chefs and restauranteurs. You can read more about that on my other blog, The G Spot Reviews, here:
I've decided to place the young adult paranormal novel I was working on last year on hold for a while. It just wasn't coming together for me and I haven't figured out why. I still feel extremely passionate about the concept and direction, but sometimes you just have to walk away from something that isn't working in order to get a new perspective on it. I'll come back to it eventually, but for now my focus is on a new werewolf series I conceptualized last week, as well as my cookbook. I also have a couple of short stories that need finishing...
I do have one exciting piece of news to announce! A flash fiction short story of mine entitled "Trailer Park Nightmare" was accepted to the legendary Weird Tales Magazine for the upcoming issue. I don't have a release date yet, but will be sure to post about it when I do. I will also have two paintings featured in this year's Art Erotica show by the Octopus Club later this summer.
Asides from that... Just business as usual around here. I'll be making a real effort to post more regularly here to keep you all updated. As always you can follow my daily social media posts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram if you don't want to wait for my posts. :)
Have a great weekend! XOV''''VOX
