To kick off 2010 in style here is the first of several contests leading up to the release of the third installment of the Eternal Vigilance vampire series, Eternal Vigilance: Bound in Blood! I am extremely excited about this contest and hope that people will work hard to submit some incredible entries. This is a chance to not only contribute to the Eternal Vigilance fandom world, but also have your work as a book trailer designer seen around the world.

What I am looking for:
An engaging, exciting and original book trailer video that captures the dark, gritty, post-apocalyptic spirit of the Eternal Vigilance vampire series and Book 3, Bound in Blood, in particular. Think of it as similar to a movie trailer, but for a book instead of a film. If you are unfamiliar with what a book trailer is, below are a couple of examples of previous trailers I have developed for the Eternal Vigilance series. These are just two examples and many more can be found on YouTube.

Guidelines:
• Between 1 and 3 minutes in length.
• ALL IMAGES USED MUST BE ROYALTY FREE & NOT INFRINGE ON ANYONE’S COPYRIGHTS. This video will be used across the web via YouTube so you must either create, own, purchase or have signed photo release forms from the creators saying we may use the images.
• ALL MUSIC USED MUST BE ROYALTY FREE OR MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY SIGNED RELEASE FORMS FROM THE MUSICIAN/BAND. Just like the images you must have either signed release forms from the musician that we may use the music or you must create the music yourself. Sampling from albums for pieces designated for commercial use, which this is technically, is not permitted on YouTube where this video will be housed.
• Video may include either static pictures or live action. If the video features actors, signed release forms for each person featured in the video must accompany the entry.
• Video must somehow include the cover art featured below.

When Tynan Llywelyn awoke from a century of Immortal Sleep in the year 2111 his Maker, Phelan Daray, delivered him by force into the arms of a war between the Tyst Empire, a global technological dictatorship bent on becoming immortal by resurrecting a vampiric god called the Vicinus and the Phuree, the human rebel uprising. Without a chance to fully adapt to the dangerous war-torn world around him, Tynan was forced to make a horrific choice to either stand and fight against the Tyst Empire, carrying out a mission to assassinate the Queen bearing the vampiric god, or turn his back on the world, leaving it to the mercy of the Tyst’s greed and the Vicinus’ revenge. Against his better judgment, he chose to fight. Now, with the rage of a thwarted empire and a denied primal god bearing down upon him, Tynan must make his final stand, risking everything to save not only his own vampiric race, but humanity as well.

• The winning videos will be used in the promotion of the Eternal Vigilance vampire series and the release of the third installment, Eternal Vigilance 3: Bound in Blood. The winning videos will be made available to all press sources including magazines, websites and blogs. The videos will be housed on YouTube for public viewing.
• The contest will run from January 15, 2010 through July 1, 2010. If sufficient entries (more than 5) have not been submitted by that time, the deadline will be extended until September 1st, 2010. All entries must be submitted by midnight on July 1st, 2010.
