I am finally back at home tonight after a whirlwing weekend and kicking back with a lovely glass of Cabernet. Friday I drove down to San Antonio for a book signing at The Twig book shop. While the turnout wasn’t tremendous, most likely due the fact that it was a 5pm on a Friday afternoon and was only an hour long, which didn’t give people a whole lot of time to get off from work and make it down there if they had planned on it. Regardless, the people at The Twig were absolutely lovely and I look forward to working with them in the future. Saturday I headed over to Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy, also in San Antonio, for a second signing. This one was a tremendous improvement over The Twig signing. The staff at Dragon’s Lair were a blast to hang out with and the three hours I was there just flew by. Then it was back to Austin Saturday night…


This morning I woke up early, packed up the car, and headed down to the Keep Austin Bizarre Christmas bazaar. I was one of four authors sharing a booth at the festival today. While the attendance for the bazaar today was low, I still managed to sell a good amount of books and had a tremendous time chatting with my fellow Austinite authors. If you’re in the Austin area this week I highly recommend checking out the Keep Austin Bizarre event! It’s only $5 to get in and the vendors there are truly unique and very cool. There is live music all day long and excellent hippie-esque cuisine to dine on. Very Austin indeed and A LOT less commercial than the more heavily populated Armadillo Christmas Bizarre, which in my opinion, has grown way too upscale and “Californized”in the past few years. I will be at the bizarre this coming Wednesday and then again on Friday from 11am till 11pm…


I would like to say “thank you” to The Twig and Dragon’s Lair, again, for having me in their stores this weekend! I hope to work with both stores in 2009 for the EV2 book tour!
