Fellow Dalton Publishing author Joe M. O’Connell is about to celebrate the release of his new novel EVACUATION PLAN: a novel from the hospice. If you recall my recent lovefest after doing the final read on this manuscript then you are familiar with my enthusiasm for this new book. In a world where novels about death are a dime a dozen, O’Connell’s capturing of the final moments in life where one remembers what made their lives worth living, the good and the bad, is exquisite. As O’Connell himself says, “It is the story of a world in which the clock ticks off the final moments for all of us and makes of those moments a lifetime.”

Join us Thursday, July 26, 7pm at Bookpeople (Austin, Texas) as legendary Austin rocker Jesse Sublett starts the proceedings with a blistering musical set followed with readings of the stories by filmmaker and stuntman icon Gary Kent, AC Short Story winner and dramatist Amparo Garcia-Crow, plus Chris Sykes and Joe himself. Refreshments provided.

Check out this listing on Eventful.com! More information on Joe and his work can be found at http://joemoconnell.com/! Thank you for your continued support! We hope to see you there!
