I have one thing to say about the new sci-fi show FRINGE: It’s about DAMN TIME!! Ever since the last season of X-FILES when we all watched as the show had its spine ripped out and it devolved into a gelatinous mess of big-eyed aliens and government conspiracies, I have been praying that another truly original witty sci-fi series would make the prime time hour. And J.J. Abrams has delivered! I usually don’t like to base my review on just one sole episode, but the hour debut of FRINGE was bloody brilliant from beginning to end! Not only was it smart and unique in its initial story, but the same quirky dark humor is there that made X-FILES the cult hit it was in the beginning. I’m addicted, I have to admit it, and I look forward to seeing what the future episodes of FRINGE deliver. I’m also interested to see what happens to “Gene” the cow…though I have a feeling his end will be rather disturbing, much to my anti-animal experiment beliefs…
