Recently Sue Quiroz of the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club, the lead organizer for the upcoming UndeadCon and Memnoch: The Resurrection vampire events in New Orleans, approached me about donating to a charity auction she was working on with actress Deborah Ann Wohl of the hit HBO vampire series True Blood. The auction is to raise money for the Choroideremia Research Foundation, a foundation dedicated to raising funds in support of scientific research leading to a treatment or cure of choroideremia, a hereditary retinal-degenerative disease that causes blindness. Deborah’s boyfriend suffers from this, as of now, incurable disease and, thus, it is a cause near and dear to her heart. For the auction I have donated a signed set of the first two ETERNAL VIGILANCE books as well as a signed set of my new vegan, mineral eye shadows “Gabrielle Faust by Overall Beauty”. The package comes with a makeup bag and two eye shadow brushes as featured in the photo below.
