The July UNTERVELT event is upon us! I do hope that you all will join us for another magical evening of art, literature and entrancing music at Prague nightclub tomorrow, Saturday July 17th, in Austin, Texas! Here are the details again. It is very important that we pack the house tomorrow night in order to prove the vitality of the UNTERVELT experience to the owners of Prague so that we can continue to hold such events each month throughout the year! I will be contributing a dramatic reading from the soon-to-be-released third installment of the ETERNAL VIGILANCE vampire series, BOUND IN BLOOD. As you enter through the arched iron gates, gargoyles pull you down through a beautiful stone stairwell into the catacombs of Prague, you will know why we choose this high end, old world bar to present the first UNTERVELT and the reason why we are returning. UNTERVELT has been a year in the making and we’re proud to work with Prague to bring it to life during the 2010 summer. If each event goes as well as the last we should be able secure a residency for the underground scene in Austin, so thank you for your support.

We open the gates to Prague by presenting sensuous middle eastern soundscapes, belly dancing by dark world gypsies to wet your appetite and excite your senses as we present new visual projections by greek_fire and Venom Designs. We will also present a very rare short poetic reading from 9:30-9:40 by the fantasy science fiction writer, Gabrielle Faust backed by a beautiful soundscape by Hipnautica.

Nephandius will bring a new edge to our UNTERVELT event presenting a variant collection of outstanding Psy Trance, Hard EBM and dark technological soundscapes to shock the warehouse district and impress the masses. Like a cuthuloid mongrel his tentacles will select deep dance tracks to make your muscles ache with much anticipation.

takes over the main stage at midnight to present an extended high energy performance featuring the return of our drummer, John Gouda with Sky on machines, piano, vocals , Pixie (operatic vocals), Al Montana on Bass, Erik Ryan on guitar, Andrew on Viola and Solomon on cello. We hope to present 3 brand new songs. Joined by our Dark World Gypsy Go Go Dancers featuring members of the Electrosluts and the Jezebelles.

One of our first special guests, returns. Gabrielle is a exquisite international science fiction fantasy novelist based out of Austin Texas, her work is featured at all major book stores. Gabrielle has offered to present a very rare poetic reading of her personal favorite excerpt from her very own vampire trilogy, ETERNAL VIGILANCE. Backed by a luscious soundscape by Hipnautica from 9:30-9:40 as part of our VIP Pre-Party we encourage early attendance. JULIEN LARMAY
As a professional photographer for both ARTSTRÄDA Magazine and Hipnautica we can’t say we had to look far, for our current featured Artist. But we are proud to give him this exclusive opportunity to showcase some of his personal art, photography and moments he has captured on film from across the Austin underground music scene.

KimChi
Inspired by the “Butoh Couture” image created by David de Lara (as seen on our flyer). KimChi will transform several of our dancers and performance artists. Throughout the night, she will also be offering body painting & henna to the public for donations, so you too can be come one within our underworld.

VENOM DESIGNS
Sky of Hipnautica will for the first time every be showing some of rare personal imagery created over the years and some new pieces specifically created for this special event.
