Two new book projects…

Another week has come and gone in a blink of an eye. The end of May is fast approaching and I realized this morning that we are already five months into 2010. Five months! What happened to the long winding summers of childhood where the three months we had off between school seasons seemed to drag on for an eternity? But that was before Blackberries and iPhones, before laptops and Excel spreadsheets of deadlines, before “to do” lists and mailboxes brimming with bills. Yes, life was a bit simpler in elementary school, at least in the respect of tasks to completed, when my only goal was making sure I made it down to the neighborhood pool at least four days a week and my friends and I had the latest Elfquest graphic novel to read and re-read and then act out in my best friend’s living room with yardsticks and brooms as our weapons…Ah, memories!
Yes, 2010 has turned out to be an amazingly fast-paced year, thus far. A week ago I finished up the manuscript and 5 accompanying illustrations for my novella REGRET and will be shipping the final-final manuscript for ETERNAL VIGILANCE 3 to my publisher this coming weekend. While I realize I just finished two massive literary projects and am still in the midst of gearing up for my upcoming book tour, I’m already itching to start work on a new project…or two. This weekend I am planning on diving into the next two books on my list: the 4th ETERNAL VIGILANCE book, which will begin the next trilogy in the epic world of my beloved tortured vampire Tynan Llywelyn, and a new independent vampire novel whose preliminary title at the moment is BLOODLINES. BLOODLINES is a stand-alone novel and will be alternating horror and paranormal romance. My intent is to scare the spirits out of you while seducing you intensely. I’m quite excited about the concept for the book, though I will wait until I have secured a publisher for the novel to tell you the full plotline.
Asides from the new book projects I will be beginning I am working, as I mentioned earlier this week, with my new manager David Lowry at The Lowry Agency to develop my upcoming tours, both for the remainder of 2010 and the entirety of 2011. I am constantly adding new dates to my Appearances page so be sure to check it often to see where I’ll be. Once we have the 2011 tour schedule 90% confirmed I will post that as well, most likely later this summer. If you are interested in having me do a book signing at your neighborhood bookstore or would like for me to appear as Guest at your convention or speaking engagement please send an email to media@gabriellefaust.com addressed to David Lowry. This Saturday, May 22, I will be in attendance at the GRAPHIC IV charity art bra fashion show at the Bob Bullock State History Museum in Austin, Texas. GRAPHIC IV is an annual auction event which raises money for the Breast Cancer Resource Center. I personally donated a gold cyberpunk bra entitled “I Dare You to Turn Me On” which I created for the auction and am thrilled to hear that the bra not only made it into this year’s calendar, which all of the proceeds from the sale go to the BCRC, but the bra will also be featured on the runway show that night! This is going to be a particularly emotional night for me I believe because a dear friend of mine is currently fighting for her life against stage 3 breast cancer and I am just worried sick about her. My grandmother on my father’s side was also a survivor after being diagnosed in the early 80′s and undergoing a double mastectomy. Breast Cancer affects 1 in 8 women in America today. That’s why it is so important for everyone to get involved in finding a cure and lending your support to organizations such as the BCRC that provides the much needed resources for those undergoing treatment, as well as their supportive loved ones. For more information on the BCRC visit www.bcrc.org…
And last but not least, here is another pic from the UNTERVELT evening. This one is with Sky, the lead singer of Hipnautica. This was taken at 3am so we're both a bit exhausted. LOL! What a fabulous night it was. ![]()
