As you have all heard by now, the third installment of the ETERNAL VIGILANCE vampire series, BOUND IN BLOOD, is in the final publishing stages with Immanion Press. We are currently slated for a late September release, though a final release date has not yet been announced. As previously mentioned, Ian Holt will be writing the forward to the book. The buzz is already mounting surrounding the book release so I do hope you all will be able to join me to celebrate in style in New Orleans this Halloween at the Memnoch Resurrection & Endless Night vampire festivals!
Speaking of Ian Holt, I have been asked to work as a consultant on a new vampire documentary series entitled REAL VAMPIRES. The documentary, co-produced by Howard Gertler, will follow a group of potential new pledges as they follow their desire to join a real vampire coven in New York City. The goal of the series is to portray the vampire lifestyle in an honest way that is removed from the glamorized, over-dramatized day-time & Hollywood TV image it has been given in the past few years. In-person meetings for possible interested candidates will be held very soon in New York City. More information can be found on my site under the NEWS section, as well future updates on the progression of the series’ development.
I am overjoyed to also announce that I, as of today, have completed the manuscript for my new novella, REGRET. I have been working my fingers to the bone over the past couple of months to make sure I met the deadline for the first draft with Dark Regions Press. I am extremely happy with the way it has turned out and am hopefully that my readers will be too. It is a very different sort of story from the ETERNAL VIGILANCE series.
The month of May has been an extremely busy one, thus far! I have been working, under the guidance of David Lowry of the Lowry Agency, to rebrand my personal image. The rebrand includes a streamlining (and eventual redesign) of the gabriellefaust.com website, a new logo (which was finalized last night & is viewable on the NEWS section of my site) and a variety of new social media campaigns. I have a laundry list of new ventures I am planning on pursuing in 2010 and 2011! If you are in search of an entertainment agency at this time I highly recommend the Lowry Agency (www.thelowryagency.com)!
As part of the streamlining process, I have decided to begin moving away from my general vampire horror blogging in order to allow myself more time to focus on my creative endeavors and new product ventures. The NEWS portion of my site will now become my personal blog where I will post updates on new projects, appearances, progress on current books, etc. I have added a new widget to the static central navigation for my friend Paul Wakeland’s fantastic Vampire News blog. Now, no matter whether you visit his site or mine, you can always see a daily stream of current vampire news from around the world. Also, I am continuing as the Chief Events Editor of the Vampire.com website so be sure to check the EVENTS page there for the latest vampire events around the world!
My latest interview, conducted by the Memphis Vampire Examiner, Raelynn Coombs, is now live online! Please check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/2b5d3r3 Thank you so much to Raelynn for requesting this interview! It was a pleasure to answer all of your questions.
