When it comes to memorable, sexy modern vampires actor Kyle Schmid has definitely secured himself a permanent place in the top ten for his part as “Henry Fitzroy”, the illegitimate son of King Henry the VIII, on the short-lived, but fanatically adored series Blood Ties. Since then Schmid has starred in a variety of films and guest appearances on TV series while pursuing his love of writing. Recently fans of the actor have begun to crusade for him to return to the silver screen as one of the three Musketeers. Currently there are two separate movies in production. One is to be produced in 3D (of course…what isn’t these days?) by Warner Bros., while the other is under development with Summit Entertainment, the producers of the Twilight franchise. The online fan campaign is to have Schmid play the role of D’Artagnan in either movie. Whether or not Kyle Schmid has auditioned for the role is not clear, but if you would like to join the crusade to bring him back to the silver screen click here. I personally think he should star as “Tynan” in the Eternal Vigilance movie…fans, what do you think?

I think he would be perfect for any role from your books. But then I’m partial as I’ve been a fan for a while. I’d also love to see him as D’Artagnan, I think the role would fit him like a glove. He’s shown us what he can do in Blood Ties and the movies that he’s done following the show. I truly believe the best is yet to come for Kyle Schmid.
Hmm, to have Kyle be (get the role as) a musketeer in either film, as well as be Tynan in an EV movie adaptation would be divine, after all the more (we see of him) the merrier.
It’s a (dedicated group) fan initiative to bring attention to him for a role in either film. In hope that the studios would sit up and pay attention to the buzz it can potentially create. And boy do we fans hope it happens.
Kyle certainly appears to be in a growing demand among authors whose characters were either inspired by his portrayal as vampire Henry Fitzroy, or like yourself, would want him to bring their vampire leads to perfect “undead” life!
And then there are the fans in general want to see him in more features because we know he’s got the “chops”.
Yes, he has, as you’ve quite rightly pointed out, “definitely secured himself a permanent place”, both as vampire Henry Fitzroy (let’s face it NO one else can step into those shoes… or should I say “fangs”) and in the hearts of fans in general.
And speaking of Henry.
Dare we to live in hope on that end too of Henry’s return?
As with the news that broke last Wednesday of a possible new series in development for Tv called “Smoke and Mirrors” based on Tanya Huff’s Smoke Series (those she wrote after the Blood Books, from where we got Blood Ties).
If all goes well for them we may just see Henry’s return (and hopefully Kyle back in said role)!
I simply adore Kyle and anything to get him back on the screen is on my radar! If you ever want to start a campaign to convince him to read the ETERNAL VIGILANCE series, you have my FULL support!
