The deadline for the Chainsaw Mafia’s annual film festival, Viscera, is steadily encroaching! Women horror filmmakers, you have until December 31st to make your submissions! The Viscera Project was created by women to facilitate the advancement of females reaching for more powerful roles within the horror genre. Now, more than ever, women are running their own horror production companies and directing, producing, writing, branching out into cinematography and even creating special FX. Viscera encompasses not only film, but dance, theater, photography, and graphic design. If you are a woman who works in the genre, contact us for the opportunity to be placed in the VISCERAL Women archive. The Mafia believes that the term “Scream Queen” refers to a woman who can perform both on/off camera and stage, in all aspects of production. For more information and to submit your film visit thechainsawmafia.com.
