After a little over two years, the genius horror review site Fear Zone has shut its virtual doors, another victim of these harsh economic times. I, for one, am very depressed at this news. Not only was Fear Zone one of the top rated horror sites with insightful, cleverly written interviews, reviews and other industry related news articles from a team of dedicated, passionate authors, but FZ was where I first began my career as a horror journalist. I cannot say enough thanks to the valiant leader of the pack, Greg Lamberson for his willingness two years ago to give me a shot and allow me to first get my feet wet in the blood of the industry. Without FZ I might not have had the success I have had thus far in reaching out to the world for the site gave me a very unique outlet unlike any other. Greg, Norm and the other Zoners were also incredibly generous in their support and promotion of the Eternal Vigilance series, gestures which touched me dearly and I will always, always remember. It was an amazing ride while it lasted! Perhaps, one day, the Frankenstein will be reanimated? Until then, the site will remain up and running complete with the astounding archive of work we have produced since its inception for all the world to see.
