2009 Open Web Awards

webawards

It’s that time again! Time for another shameless request for your votes. This time around it is for the Mashable’s 2009 Open Web Awards, the Social Media Edition! So, what is this new contest all about, you might ask?

Mashable is proud to present our 3rd annual Open Web Awards online competition. The Open Web Awards is our international online voting competition that covers major innovations in web technology and achievements in Social Media. This year, we’ve extended the length of the campaign by one month and also have created some new and engaging categories for our audience to reflect the changes in web culture since 2008.

The first Open Web Awards in 2007 achieved over 250,000 votes and more than 20 million page views combined between Mashable and our 50 international blog partners.

The second Open Web Awards in 2008, which included over 26 categories, saw over 100 Blog Partners (from 25 countries and written in 10 different languages), 50,000 total nominations, 80,000 total votes in the first round, and 90,000 votes in the final round.

Now it’s time to vote for the 2009 social media winners! If you already follow my daily deluge of posts and tweets, you know how hard I work to utilize the world of social media and marketing, not to mention blogging, to not only promote my own work, but the work of others in the horror and science fiction industries. I humbly ask for your support now and hope you’ll consider voting for me!

To cast your vote visit http://mashable.com/owa/votes. You can vote in as many categories as you wish and you can VOTE DAILY between now and November 11th!

Thank you for your support! Bites & Kisses!
