Indie Filmmakers Need Your Help
February 4th, 2008 by Gabrielle Faust received No Comments »Indie filmmakers Blake McClure, Travis Nicholson and Seth Pomeroy are seeking assistance to make their dream come true of developing their first feature zombie film entitled The South Will Rise Again…
Their message to the world:
We’re a group of guys from Nashville, TN. We are sons of musicians, politicians, dairy farmers, and insurance agents. Our movie is called The South Will Rise Again and is being filmed in and around Nashville in the Spring of 2007. This is a movie about rednecks, dirtbikes, meth labs, karate choppin’, mullets, saving the world, and of course ZOMBIES!
We shot a trailer a few months back to raise interest and financing. People bent over backwards, tied themselves in knots, and slapped their grandmas to help put this thing together. We convinced Panavision to give us a 35mm anamorphic package, Kodak handed over 11,000 feet of film, DR&A provided an entire grip and lighting package, and tons and tons of people graciously came out over the course of three days and worked for free. Why? Because they all believed in this project.
Now we want to do it for real, but we aren’t millionaires, studio execs, or your parents. We know your parents have money and all we want is for you to grab some of it and give it to us so we can make the most kick ass movie anyone has ever seen. Don’t you want to see redneck karate masters fighting zombies? Of course you do. Just a few bucks. Sure it’s just a small donation, but you are helping us make the movie. We need you. We love you. We will see you at the premiere.
Sincerely,
Blake McClure, Travis Nicholson, & Seth Pomeroy
