Our last e-interview, for this week, is with upcoming horror author S.D. Hintz. Hintz is the internationally published author of 2 novels, including The Offering, as well as 14 short stories. He is also the Editor in Chief of Skullvines Press…
1. What drives you to write?
What encourages me to write are the responses from the readers. If a certain story or novel has disturbed them or slithered beneath their skin, it only makes me want to write something twice as crazy and terrifying. Knowing that I can entertain others with my creativity is an added plus.
2. What do you consider to be your most significant accomplishment?
At this point my biggest accomplishment would be my short story HAVEN due to published later this year in Terror Tales #4 alongside Neil Gaiman and Jeff Vandermeer.
3. Outside of writing, what are your other passions/interests?
Definitely reading (you didn’t see that one coming, right?), managing Skullvines Press, spending quality time with my wife and two children, and hiking when Minnesota isn’t freezing my tail off.
4. What is your advice to young writers/first time authors?
My advice is to learn from rejections. Any feedback you receive regarding a story or novel you should use as refinement. And submit, submit, submit. Sometimes it’s not that the publisher disliked your work, it’s simply that it didn’t fit with the titles they typically publish.
5. What do you want the world to remember you for the most?
I WAS A SASQUATCH SEX SLAVE. lol… Okay, seriously, I want the world to remember that I had fun doing what I love to do. And that I saved tons of money by being cremated and avoiding a catered funeral.

Great questions. I am an avid reader, and horror is my favorite genre. I had the pleasure of reading S.D. Hintz book “The Offering” and it is amazing.
