Bat-friendly coffee
July 30th, 2009 by admin received No Comments »A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Katz’s Bat City Blend coffee is donated as unrestricted funds to Bat Conservation International, furthering their mission of teaching people the value of bats, protecting and conserving critical bat habitats, and advancing scientific knowledge through research initiatives. Bat City Blend is as mysterious as the creatures that inspired it and as unique as the city they call their home, Austin, Texas. A meritage of Katz’s best dark roasts, Bat City Blend is composed of entirely organic, Fair Trade-certified beans and features an incredible depth and fullness, as hints of smoky caramel and sweet blueberries are balanced out with a touch of subtle earthiness.
This blend is a community partnership between Katz Coffee and Bat Conservation International as part of our Coffee Cause Program; when you order a Coffee Cause coffee, you are supporting organizations that are dedicated to improving our communities. All of Katz Coffees – including the Coffee Cause coffees – are available for sale by the pound through our website at www.katzcoffee.com and at the Sunset Valley Farmers Market in Austin, at the Midtown Farmers Market and Houston Farmers Market (both in Houston). A more limited selection is also available at select Whole Foods & Central Market stores.
