2007 was an amazing year for the International Order of Horror Professionals! With a steadily growing international membership and a vast array of organizational projects, including the formation of its own independent press Raven’s Claw Books, the IOHP is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds. As the Southwest Regional Representative for the group and Assistant Editor/Art Editor of the quarterly newsletter The Bloodied Quill (which has been nominated for a P&E Award! http://www.critters.org/predpoll/nonfictionzine.shtml), I am looking forward with intense enthusiasm to 2008 for more exciting developments. If have been considering becoming a member there is no time like the present! Here are a few of the many benefits of joining the IOHP:
• Members-only quarterly newsletter
• Unknown, Unthinkable & Undead live broadcast and podcasts
• Online chats featuring IOHP members so they can promote their work
• Online courses
• Raven’s Claw Book Imprint
• Summer 2008 Anthology
• Online members-only video showcase
• Free media handouts/printable kits about IOHP for conferences/workshops
• Online presence on MySpace, LiveJournal, BlogTalkRadio and NowLive.com – among others
