The dark mysterious idol of so many’s worship, Mr. Johnny Depp, has given us one more reason to continue to frequent the alter of his artistic genius. According to several different online sources, Depp apparently meditates in a room completely devoted to vampire memorabilia. Decorating the room are reportedly masks, capes, posters, fangs and a rare copy of Bram Stoker’s novel ‘Dracula’. Depp has previously professed his love of the creatures of the night stating:


“Barnabas Collins from ‘Dark Shadows’ was a huge obsession of mine. I loved Barnabas Collins more than I loved the Harlem Globetrotters…I wanted to be Barnabas Collins so much that I found a ring, it was probably one of my mother’s rings, and I wore it on this finger, and I tried to comb my hair like Barnabas Collins, and I was trying to figure out how I could get fangs. It really had a heavy impact on me, a heavy influence on me.”


Now, whether or not the online magazines are simply elaborating on speculation since there are no photos of this supposed room or confirmation from Depp himself on his vampire meditation practices has left to be proven. Regardless, the very idea that Depp has a room of vampire memorabilia is enough for me to tip my hat in respect. I simply can’t seem to find flaw with the brilliant, eccentric actor, can you?
